I have long had a passion for beauty.

As a little girl I would arrange my dresser top as if it were a fancy store front display.

As a teen I fell in love with the beauty of flowers (and that translated into delving into floral design, later, transitioning to silk florals). I have worked in floral design for 18 years, working on dozens of events including weddings and funerals.

Creating is a glorious endeavor. I like to dabble in all kinds including furniture refurbishing, painting, floral design, and creating art with scripture.

I am passionate about making cold process soap. The practice feels like true magic to me, and I am a voracious student of the art. No matter how many batches I make (which is now well over 320!) I always learn something new and am in awe of the beauty of the craft.

I married my farmer man more than a decade ago, and we are raising a brood of farm kids in Central Washington State. We eagerly tend our 2,000 square foot garden in the summer. We harvest and preserve in the autumn. We enjoy winter's rest along with the sleeping earth during the winter.

I am a city girl turned farm girl myself, and am thrilled with the process of learning how better to build the earth while raising our troops. Building healthy minds and healthy bodies is my highest desire as I mother my brood.
